The Sensaphone 400 is a fully programmable, auto dialer alarm notification system that offers extensive on-site and remote monitoring capability for small businesses, residences, computer rooms or any clean, indoor facility. Designed to mount on either a wall or desktop, the 400 is simple to install, program and operate, requires no changes to standard electrical or telephone lines and has no monthly fees.
Sensaphone makes a full line of sensors and accessories which can monitor for variations in temperature, humidity, air quality, the presence of water or smoke and more. The Sensaphone 400 accepts four sensors that monitor for everything listed above in addition to physical security such as motion detectors or contact switches. In addition to the four sensor inputs the Sensaphone 400 has a built-in ability to monitor for power failures and to listen for high sounds such as a local security alarm. Once the sensors are installed the status of each monitored condition is readily obtained at the units installation site, or remotely by telephone.
Programming the Sensaphone 400 is accomplished using the local keypad. It can be used to record custom messages, program dial-out telephone numbers, and program any command for the unit. The keypad also has LED Indicators that provide on-site alarm and status information.
When an alarm is detected, the Sensaphone 400 can notify up to four people by making voice phone calls. The 400's digital speech recording feature allows users to record custom messages for each of the four zones and an identification message so that when the 400 calls during an alarm, users will hear a personalized voice message identifying the unit and telling them exactly what alarm condition exits. It will continue to make phone calls until someone responds and acknowledges the call. The phone interface includes a line seize feature so that extension phones are automatically disconnected when it needs to make an alarm phone call. (maybe mention blue tooth adapter to cell phone?)
Output - Thermostats
If you have a cottage or cabin open all year around, and do not drain the pipes and add antifreeze to the system, likely the furnace is kept active at a low temperature when away. The 400 will provide an invaluable service by keeping users updated to any change in the status of the furnace operation. And prior to arrival at the cottage or cabin, users can remotely use the Sensaphone 400 to switch the thermostat to a home or away setting.
Battery Back Up
To ensure reliable operation the Sensaphone 400 features power backup capability, in the event of AC power failure, six C cell batteries will continue to power the unit for approximately 24 hours.
For small businesses, property owners, and more, the Sensaphone 400 offers an easy, inexpensive way to monitor a remote facility.
