Sensaphone Introduces Advanced Monitoring System for Cold Storage Application

Sensaphone IMS-1000 features data-logging capabilities

Aston, PA., January 16, 2008Sensaphone® announces its newest product — the IMS-1000 — offering a new level of monitoring for cold storage applications. The IMS-1000 combines environmental monitoring, physical security and data logging into a single system. Free of monthly fees, the standalone unit features an internal battery backup system and multiple alarm delivery options.

The IMS-1000 features eight external sensors for monitoring the primary environmental conditions, including temperature, power, humidity, smoke, fire and water on the floor. Environmental sensors exceeding a predetermined range initiate alarm notification processes. Optional built-in phone modem and voice communications are available, allowing for alarm notification via voice phone calls in addition to standard email notification. The use of a phone modem ensures contacts receive alerts even if the computer network is down or emails cannot be delivered.

Data logging and user-selectable sampling allow facility operators to review event history and trends by condition per the minute, hour or day. This available data can be used for graphing, database or auditing applications. The programming and status information are always available through a built-in Web server.

With the proper accessories, the IMS-1000 system increases physical security by detecting motion and supplying information about room activity. Monitored conditions can trigger image captures to be sent via email to appropriate personnel.
