Sentinel System Monitors Environmental Changes Impacting Clean Room Conditions

ASTON, Pa., May 19, 2021 – The Sentinel™ system from Sensaphone is ideal for manufacturing and research process facilities that require a controlled environment or designated clean room to ensure that factors like temperature, airflow, humidity and airborne particulates do not compromise products. The cloud-based Sentinel system provides supervised 24/7 remote monitoring of up to 12 different environmental and equipment status conditions. When the system detects that a sensor reading has moved out of the preset range, it sends a notification via phone call, text or email to designated personnel, so they can take fast corrective action.

Used with sensors to monitor important clean room conditions such as airflow, differential pressure, vibration, temperature, humidity and power failure, the Sentinel system takes the burden out of managing controlled environments.

Sentinel operators can access real-time data around the clock from anywhere using a mobile device or computer. They can also check status information, change settings, disable alarms and readjust temperature limits right from the Sensaphone app.

The Sentinel monitoring system also provides unlimited data logging of critical environmental conditions over time, which helps operators to identify trends that could indicate potential equipment issues before they become major problems.

Sensaphone offers both cellular and Ethernet versions of the Sentinel system. Housed in a NEMA 4X enclosure, the Sentinel unit is protected from dust, dirt and moisture.

The Sentinel system constantly communicates a signal to the Sensaphone cloud to validate its online status. If the communication link is interrupted—for example by a power outage or someone accidentally switching off the unit—the system generates an alert indicating that the internet connection is lost or there is a cellular communications problem. Users are notified about the disruption through phone, text or email.
